Abstracts submission is open until November 12 (new deadline), 2023 and the submission is performed in the University of Évora’s Event Management System (Sistema de Gestão de Eventos-SGE) (see more detailed information below).

The abstract must be written in English and follow the structure and format of the following example: Abstract template.
Notes: Maximum 350 words.
The abstract should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
Due to limited space for poster presentations, each participant can only submit one abstract.

Abstracts must be submitted in the same system as the registration for the VIII PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture. When submitting, you should indicate the scientific area of your abstract: 1.Agribusiness;  2.Environment, Landscape and Sustainability; 3.Biology; 4.Biochemistry; 5.Biotechnology; 6.Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; 7.Food Sciences; 8.Veterinary Sciences and Animal Production.

To submit your abstract, please follow these steps:

1. Log on to https://sge.uevora.pt.
2. Select the “Submit abstract” (“Submeter resumo”) option in the side options on the right-hand side regarding registration for the VIII PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture.

Once submitted, the abstract will remain “Under Analysis” while it is validated by the Scientific Committee. You will receive notification of the outcome of the validation by email.
For abstracts submitted by PhD students, confirmation of oral or poster communication will be given until November 24, 2023. All abstracts submitted by non-PhD students will be presented as posters.

Posters must be in English and printed in A0 format (vertical).

Prize for best poster
The prize will be awarded at the closing session of the meeting.
