The VIII PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture (Encontro de Estudantes de Doutoramento em Ambiente e Agricultura–EEDAA) aims to create a space for PhD students to meet, in order to stimulate scientific discussion and highlight those who will become the researchers of tomorrow. This year’s event will be held over two days and is scheduled for December 11 and 12, 2023 at the University of Évora – Mitra Campus (Conference Room). The official language of the Meeting is English.

All researchers working in these areas are invited to participate and submit an abstract to this meeting. However, only abstracts submitted by PhD students will be considered for oral communications. The EEDAA is particularly aimed at PhD students developing their theses in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Production, Agricultural Sciences, Food Sciences, Ecology, Agribusiness, Environment, Landscape and Sustainability.

This event is organised by MED – Mediterranean Institute for Environment, Agriculture and Development and IIFA – Institute for Research and Advanced Training, of the University of Évora, and has the support of the Food & Water Sub-network of UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union.

This Meeting is also an excellent opportunity for outsiders to get to know the beautiful city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
